Question of the day:
What is the top 5 apps needed for students?... and teachers?
1) PDF-annotations seems to be the big hit there: does some know a reaaly good app and tested it?
2) Photoannotating?
3) making goodlooking Presentations (cfr "Keynote" on Ipad). Which androidapp can do it?
4) Sketchingapp (canvas on Adam seem wonderfull here)
5) Slideshows
6) Multy temat agenda's, diaries, for teachers to follow their programs in different schools, for students,...
7) OCR-possibilities from your tablet? Translating tools?
8) Contactmanaging app: I think very interesting things can be develooped there centralising your cantacts and linking them to eachother
9) Youtubedownloader
.... Actually I'm just imaginating things here. Let your fantasy go!
This is nice...if you're home schooled. I'm a grad student and need something that can handle power point, word, and excell. Not to mention moodle. Is adam going to be able to handle ms office? I know this is probably more of a microsoft issue, but still, I wish I would've thought of this BEFORE I ordered the adam. Might be willing to suffer through a windows based tablet just to get something that can run office.
ReplyDeleteOnce I get the SDK I will begin building an application that will allow you to take notes along with the camera. When you play back the video the notes will appear as subtitles as if they were being typed then.

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know and used Evernote? Is it really usefull and in what way. Can someone post a way he uses it? How creative can you be with it?
ReplyDelete@jason.smedley
ReplyDeletelike it. could you add subtitels too existing videos too with your app? Sometimes we find as teachers youtubevideo's but they are in other languages or need explanations. Would be nice to be able to annotate them after downloading them.
Hopefully someone will build similar or better applications for ADAM:
ReplyDelete1)PDF-XChange - the best tool to highlight and annotate OCRed pdfs. I can highlight and annotate in different colors, etc.
2) iFinger Pop-up dictionary
Eng/Ger/SP/Fr/.... you double click a word in a PDF, Browser, or any other OCR-ed document and get instantaneous translation
THANK YOU!
Would be nice to have a planetarium soft, like the one for PC from http://www.stellarium.org/
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: have you tried "celeste" ?
