  2. I thought I'd get this one started off:

For the younger kids: some games from "smart mini kids" are worth checking out (not all of them, some will get you annoyed ;) ). Look here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bb.numbers

    TODDLERS:
x Sound Touch - for toddlers, they click the image and it'll make the corresponding sound. - http://www.appbrain.com/app/sound-touch/com.soundtouch

    x sesame street soundboard - what can I say, it's sesame street :D Pre-schoolers like this too :D - http://www.appbrain.com/app/sesame-street-soundboard/gnarlyapps.sesamestreet.soundboard

    PRE-SCHOOL:
x Smart mini kids: colors&numbers - to teach kids to count from one to ten - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bb.numbers

x Kids alphabet - well, just the same as those books, a letter, an image :) - http://www.elegantbits.com/kids-alphabet/en/overview.html

x "Kids' flashcards" are also pretty cool for the smaller kids. The games "show" the items, speak the word out loud and put it written on the screen. They have this application for wildlife, fruits & veggies, transport, ... (toddlers will like all the pretty pictures too :) ) - the wildlife one: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_games/brain_puzzle/kids-flashcards-wildlife_bywp.html

x fingerpaint, has some huge icons on top so it's easy for a kid to find his tools :) - http://www.androidfreeware.net/download-fingerpaint.html

x healthy diet for kids - teaching kids what is healthy and what is not, is important! This little game will help. If played together with a parent or teacher, pre-schoolers can start playing it. But it's also suitable for lower elementary kids. http://www.androidzoom.com/android_games/brain_puzzle/healthy-diet-for-kids_juk.html?nav=googleDownload

    LOWER ELEMENTARY AND UP:
x CardDroid math - lots of kids either have issues with language/reading, others with math, when they first start out at lower elementary, this one will help them with the math part, no negative messages in there (if there's a mistake, it just ask them to try again :) ) - http://whitneyapps.com/carddroid-math

x doodle kids - this one is just cool coz it was written by a kid, for kids. :D You get to play with standard shapes and stuff :D - http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/entertainment/doodle-kids_njg.html

    x Mathsworkout is a good game - http://www.mathsworkout.net/

x andrawing - if you want a program parents can use as well as the kids, this is a nice one, also has more options than fingerpaint - http://www.androidfreeware.net/download-andrawing.html OR https://market.android.com/details?id=com.socialin.android.photo.drawing2

    x tileracer - this is just fun, :) http://www.holyhog.com/products/tileracer.html

ps: www.androidfreeware.net is a nice site to browse and test some free stuff, not just for the kids!
