Apparently it provides Math, science and English arts. Right now California, British Columbia etc. More states will be added in June . The question is: will it be useful for other people around the world?

ReplyDeleteIt's just the beginning. I want itreally to be usefull
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will be used much here in the states because our school system believes in purchasing books every seven years. That brings the cost down dramatically compared to using this service. Albeit causes a lack of updated education material, but who cares as long as the gas gets in the car.
ReplyDeleteI also think so. The studentbooksproblem is a more local ones. For sure all over the world learningplans are quite different and evoluating every day. The system must be more flexible. You should be able to import your books easily into ebookreaders. That's why the idea of the bookscanner looks really valuable:see (i got this from "SKIP" in the notioninkblog.

You scan whatever you want into pdf's and then convert them to ereader-format . I found an interesting program for Mac and windowusers: it's called CALIBRE-ebookmanagment. You can export pdf's here to different ebookformats
Can someone search up information about privacyissues and plagiat. I would want to have a clear view here on the subject. It's different for every country,....
ReplyDeleteQuestions: what is scannable? Only your own bought materials? You can use it for private use only , like making a copy of your CD'collection to be able to run them in your car?
